Uddebo

Drumming Village

Three of us – Iva – my friend from volunteering, bear Bear – my trophy from tennis tournament, and me, took trip to Oslo.

Bear Bear helped a lot. First of all we came to the outdoor shop and asked them to hold a bear while we were observing downtown. Of course, our bags came as an attachment to Bear.

Then I took a train to Gothenburg and a bus to somewhere, where musician Fabian fetch me and brought to his drumming school in Uddebo. Actually it turned out that almost everyone in this village either sang or played on some instruments. There were volunteers from England, France, Netherlands, and Sweden, all somehow involved or interested in music. My participation was web.

From journalism and car racing in Russia to teaching at the University in South Africa, where she won Alliance de France and the British Consulate international photo contests, she switched paths: earned a silver medal at the 2011 World Masters Athletics USA, hiked the 2,081-mile Appalachian Trail, navigated the Amazon from Peru to Brazil, biked Route 66 from Chicago to LA, from London to Orkney, and from Canada to Key West, and launched an art project at Midcoast Maine. During lockdown drove to Olympic Valley Palisades Tahoe where became a ski and swim instructor, then… well, enough for now.
