Farewell to Maine

It was supposed to happen immediately after my family’s 2020 Christmas visit from England. Instead, the Art Project happened, in joint with my friend, photographer and installation designer Amy. Then Covid happened, and everyone

whose works were placed in various exhibitions, took their masterpieces home.

I hung my black & white series on the walls of my newly rented half of the house on the ocean side of Rockport downtown and waited out the lockdown with my landlady, her two big red cats, and Zoom sessions with the outside world.

I tried to do gymnastics and take ballet lessons. It didn’t take long honestly, a little longer than taking photographs of the process.

When Maine opened up, I resumed my turn to the dentist – I had to finish what I started before the lockdown. Eh, I missed an offer to work as a swimming instructor in Boulder, Colorado while waiting for the dentist’s appointment.

It’s time to get involved in sport. Any that suits me.

In the meantime, my lease came to an end on August 31, 2020, and I had to leave my house with no chance to move in anywhere until my dentist visit in mid-October.

For a month and a half to hang in the area – who knows where and how, since everything is still closed, both private and public spaces. Hospitality and Covid –  things are incompatible.
