Camp NASA
I flew from South Africa to hike the #AppalachianTrail. What I knew about it? That as a trail runner I was able to do these 2000 miles anyway. I supposed to walk with a project of US militaries, so no need to care about supplying/resupplying. They would show me the way to hm… Katarin? Karazin? Ah, does it matter?
The distance from Atlanta to Cape Canaveral looked like nothing in comparison with Johannesburg to New York, so on my way to Springer Mountain I rent a car and drove to Florida, to see NASA and Kennedy Space Centre, my childhood dream.
It supposed to be also a rocket launch at 4:AM. I parked my car at a hidden gate, but a policeman found me. Once heard the reason why I was there, he escorted me to the special campground for NASA stuff and asked the guard to let me in. The rocket didn’t start as I was told when I got up in the morning and asked in case I overslept anything. If it would be possible to oversleep a rocket launch.
I’ve got a message from the project organizer that they fight with one American writer and would stay away from media, who was I as well, for awhile. So I must go by myself. Hah?
