Lena Faber Racing Car

Drive-TV series

I restored some of my Drive TV works, which eventually found in my computer, and put English subtitles. These short videos were made out of my newspaper column about tough driving in Moscow traffic and nonwritten rules on Russian roads. You can see a bit of Moscow of the latest 2000s as well.

Sometimes my friends-actors were acting, sometimes automotive dealers, sometimes pedestrians, and me. Once I invited the studio gate guards to the recording room, left them with the sound editor, and asked them to swear. That is how soundtrack, which illustrated the driver’s emotions in Moscow traffic, was made.

From journalism and car racing in Russia to teaching at the University in South Africa, where she won Alliance de France and the British Consulate international photo contests, she switched paths: earned a silver medal at the 2011 World Masters Athletics USA, hiked the 2,081-mile Appalachian Trail, navigated the Amazon from Peru to Brazil, biked Route 66 from Chicago to LA, from London to Orkney, and from Canada to Key West, and launched an art project at Midcoast Maine. During lockdown drove to Olympic Valley Palisades Tahoe where became a ski and swim instructor, then… well, enough for now.
